She began her career working at a garden center, and within six months she was named department manager/buyer. It was only when she met her husband and moved to Derbyshire that she got into antiques properly.
To get some practical experience in valuing and cataloging items, she took a part-time job at an auction house. In parallel, Irita started selling on her own behalf at car boot and local antiques fairs – though this quickly grew to bigger international fairs. Over seven years she practiced and created a reputation in the world of antiques.
TV Appearances and Popularity
With her high-energy personality and wealth of experience with antiques, Irita was soon approached by television producers. She signed up for the cast of Antiques Road Trip in 2021 and soon proved a fan favourite with her warm on-screen manner, and unique flaming red hair.
