A Tragic Incident
The accident happened while Julián was at his Ettalong, New South Wales home cleaning a pressure washer. In the course of his work, he then suffered a powerful electric shock and had to be hospitalized. Despite the best battles of medical staff he died later that night. This sudden tragedy caused an outpouring of shock within the local community, with many stating their grief and support for those who knew him.
A Community in Mourning
Julián Valdés, no era solo un trabajador de emergencia, sino tenía sólidos vínculos con la comunidad de Sanxenxo. Committed to his Servizo Emerxencias function, he was widely respected by both colleagues and townsfolk. The Sanxenxo city council paid tribute to his work in the town and lamented their deep regret at what they called an “irreparable loss”.
Funeral Arrangements
Julián will be laid to rest on Monday at the Church of San Francisco de Asís in Os Tilos. A subsequent cremation is scheduled to take place privately for transient family in the evening, giving them a short period of relief after their untimely departure.
Legacy of Service
Even though his time was short on this earth, Julián will continue to be a shining example of what it means to be a servant for all those he served. His dedication to serving others represented a reflection of the emergency services core values and essentially, showed that they are all heroes within their own community.
